M5 F10 Gruppe M intake install

I thought i would post some images of a recent install of the Gruppe M intake. The install was not too hard, we were able to remove the front grilles and install the ram pods from there without removing the front bumper. When driving the car you can really hear the turbo spool under acceleration, a lot more than i expected to hear.

I concur - I get the feeling that some of these companies charge too much of a premium on these products because of the demographics of the consumers.

Then again, this is entirely speculative and I have no idea of the type of costs associated with the manufacturing and marketing of these products.

Still think way overpriced for what it is IMO.

Are there any other intakes on the market for the F10 M5? $3,500 for an intake seems a little outlandish... No?

Yes. So does 3k for downpipes, 6k for exhaust.

I've come to the conclusion that the current crop of mods is all priced at a more-money-than-sense premium for the wealthy class of new buyers.

If you want to make more power, do downpipes and a tune. Those two will cost in the neighborhood of 5 to 6k together - still too much by far - but at least they make *real* power. An air intake for 3.5k? No.
