B&O is awesome. Everyone who gets in the passenger seat always points to it and asks what it, girls love the glow. In my mind it makes the active sound better too

343M Wheels
Bang and Olufsen

Would not order:

My ideal M5 would be comp package, CCB, individual Oxford Green on Sakhir Orange, 6 Speed Manual.
Wisesoul I see you have SO interior and you say that you would order it again. I have found the right car which is black sapphire and with every option except CCB's and NV with SO interior. I have never seen it in person the SO interior and and really having headaches thinking will I like it or regret it. If it is very bright then I suppose I will not like it, I would like to think that SO is darker than in the pictures.
I appreciate your comments
Thanks

It is quite a rich shade of orange and red. I don't think it is overly bright, but it is definitely more towards the flashy side. Check it out in person and see if you like it. I did not plan on having an SO interior, but I ended up liking it. BSM on SO is a great combo in my opinion!

I am a all black leather guy... When we picked out options my wife demanded SO( before we saw it In person) .she got her way. She was right, it really makes the car pop and it's not overly flashy. I am vary happy with the full so and black combo.

But do you have a feeling sometimes with SO that a darker interior would be nice?

Nope. It's awesome. Hides the dirt better than black (my last interior)

Nope. I have been in a few all black m5's and it just seems boring ( to me of course ). Don't miss it at all.

I'm glad I did, because now I know what I will and won't order next time. Hopefully this will help prospective buyers prioritize the option packs.

Will Order:
- Competition Package - or hopefully, the upgraded specs become standard in the next gen.
- DCT - it's just an amazing transmission and makes the experience in this car.
- Full Leather
- Executive Package - a car of this caliber needs it. The end.
- Lighting Package - the LED headlights are amazing.

Won't Order:
- Driver's Assistance pkg - it's pretty garbage TBH. Most of this stuff is standard in cars that cost 1/5th of what the M5 costs.

No Verdict Yet:
- Bang & Olufsen - while I think it sounds fantastic, I was also a huge fan of the upgraded Harmon Kardon option in my wife's X5. Acoustically, I personally don't notice any difference between the two. Cosmetically, it's a beautiful setup, with the machined grills and accent lights.

Any thoughts?
+1

HappyMan, I suggest that you go all-in on the BSM/SO. I have black in and out (only because I found it on a lot and didn't have the patience to wait for custom order). The one part I would really miss is the anthracite wood veneer, it's gorgeous with the black and aluminum trim. I'm not sure if it would go with SO leather but I know the aluminum certainly does.

Anthracite and SO go well together. You are correct the anthracite looks really good.

What happens when you need to replace? Super expensive? I thought they should last about 100K miles though?

I have considered buying CCB in part because the brake dust on my 2013 M5 was pretty significant. Anyone ever consider them for same reason ?

CCB's for sure. On longer tracks the stock brakes were pretty good with fluid change and SS lines. Little fade. Took my car to a shorter track with lots of cornering and totally toasted my pads. If they were available when I ordered my car, it would have been a no-brainer.

I bought mine as a toy, and would order nothing different at least as far as an M goes. That said, the car is great in that it is quite fast, yet practical when needed as well. Unfortunately, it isn't completely filling the space that I wanted it to fill. I'm after obnoxiousness. No P-car or other exotic is going to fill this void; I'm looking at Cobra replicas, as I think one would give me the raw speed and sound that I crave, and make my neighbors hate me all the more... That is all...
