Nitto NTO5 tires

Guys anyone with 20 wheels tried the Nitto NTO5 tires ?? (rears )
there's only one size and it will fit with 0 issues 305/30/20
and please don't mention the wet Condition because it's rain 2 times a year in Kuwait , all i'm looking for is Grip , daily use , street and drag tire , the PSS tires were not good and the car spins like hell , i'm trying my best to find the perfect tires and here's the list :

Nitto NTO5 305/30/20
TOYO R888 285/35/20 or 315/35/20 which is bad and cause rub issues
Michelin sport cup 2 305/30/20 does't last for long

i wish from this thread that we can help M5 f10 owners find the best tires for there cars

I'm very interested as well. For drag racing I run the Mickey Thompson drag radials in 305 35/19 on the standard 19s. On the street I still have my original PS2s on the optional 20s and like you, I'm trying to find the best tire for grip on the street and track.

That's the problem , the PSS tires doesn't help at all , i hope somebody could chime in and help us in this.

I would recommend the NT05 305/30/20 for track purpose if you are looking for close to perfect pull off the line,they will last 4 to 5 months if using for daily use,watch some of videos and you can see a perfect pull off the line.

Thanks man , someone told me about the NTO5 have been surpassed and it didn't updated with newer technology and there's better than NTo5 this day and age !! Which i don't get it honestly.

I know its not a 1 for 1 but I put 315/40/18 NT05R on my GTR and it was on its daily map making 880whp and it just DEAD hooks

SOOOO CONFIDENT IN THE HOOK vs. my R888s [20'']

I really enjoy the tires, if its the NT05R I would definitely give them a try.

Yeah we just stuck a 1095whp map on it and its hooking all the same and I actually have 315/45/18 lol I was looking at them yesterday.

But they really are confidence inspiring. Even though I know you guys cant run 18's with the Brembos, I think they're great tires.

Yeah I'm not sure how they'd compare to the r888s at that size because big difference between a 20'' r888 and 18'' 45/315 nt05r on my platform, so I was just cautioning in case they're not much better.

The 20's R888 was so bad on my friend's M6 F13 plus you get a drivetrain malfunction ! And it comes only in 2 sizes 315/35/20 , 285/35/20 in other hand i have the NTO5 305/30/20 which is good so far.

I've run the MT 305 30/20 on my stock wheels. No rubbing issues and they really hook. You can turn all traction control off and just floor it off the line. 1.75 60' was the result.

There was an issue though. I believe because the tire is taller than stock it confuses the traction/stability control systems. The reason is that as soon as I drive off with stock front PSS and the MTs on the rear, the car exhibits a strange slight hesitation on part throttle acceleration. This is very evident on the freeway accelerating from say, 50-70 mph. However, full throttle doesn't have any hesitation and the drag runs always hooked off the line (not bogging) and felt very strong through the run. My best was 11.53 @ 122mph. I switched to the 305 30/19 to get the diameter closer to stock. Still exhibits some slight part throttle hesitation but not as bad as before. I have yet to improve on the 11:53.

Morale of the story, if you are looking for the best drag tire, I recommend the Mickey Thompson over the Nitto and all others. What I need now is the best road course street/track tire and I'm leaning towards Micheline SC2s.

I've seen comparisons where the NT05 and MT ET II are very close. So close that if I were looking to buy Drag radials today, I'd buy the Nitto or the MT based in which manufacturer has the size I want/need. If you can get the NT05R in 305/30/20, that's ideal.

Yep, more than an inch taller diameter. That's why I went to the 19s. No rubbing issues, I just wanted better overall ratio and knew the shorter tire would give me slightly better acceleration.

Good point , in this case i should give the NTO5 a chance , if things went fine i'll be happy but if not i'm going MT on 19.
