Brake Caliper Exchange/Cores

Looking to get mine custom painted, front and rear. Do any of the vendors on here offer this as a service with a core exchange and potentially rebuilt calipers?

If not, what methods are you guys using to remove them and get them painted/powder coated?

Thanks all
Brad

I know to unlock the rear calipers you need a certain machine/tool. Not sure what it's called but any reputable Indy shop should be able to advise you.

I do t think I've seen anyone do with core exchange. You might have to be down 2 days without car. Maybe a day...I've seen people spray it without taking them off.

I'm really curious how the wrap for calipers look in person and how they hold up. I've heard about them from a few people now but still haven't seen it.

I couldn't find a place to do it with a core exchange. Spoke with a reputable body shop in town and they're going to paint them on the car while I'm getting some other work done. They will stencil the brembo logos and paint them as well.

Much more reasonable price than full removal. $400-$500 vs. $1200ish. All they do is remove the pads, and spray with a smaller gun to get the tight spots.
