New McLaren 720S reviews are in!

I found a few new reviews on the upcoming McLaren 720S. Seems like an all new car much more than I initially thought. Surprising facts about the engine as well, up from 3.8 to 4.0L, pretty cool! I also can't believe how light this thing is, coming in under 2,900lbs!

In any case, I think it should put the Ferrari 488 and Huracan in their place, not sure about how the new Huracan Performante would stack up against the new 720S yet though. But it also sounds like an all new 720LT is on its way too!

I really like it but want to see one in person. I may order one next year.

It's a really good looking car. After seeing the videos, the appearance has really grown on me.

Its really a personal preference, I know you can out spec my 802D's and I've had the DSP-8000s but to be honest they are just so perfect for my ears, I've sampled Dynaudio's evidence line... And anything price wise past the 802D my ears just can't detect anything. I've heard the best of the best and there is just something about B&W 800 series that is perfection to me.

I was t a huge fan when I first saw it in person but it really grows on you. Plus with the sport exhaust it sounds so much better than the 650s

I feel like those sideview mirrors could have been sleeker in design. They look too big, especially in the vertical dimension.

Interesting point.

Being said, Bower and Wilkins seems to be better than Meridian based on what these people are saying at the Mclaren Life forums:
http://www.mclarenlife.com/forums/mc...ns-system.html

Ironically, Jaguar used to had Bower and Wilkins but I think they couldn't afford the fees that B&W were charging them.

Eventually, they went with Meridian instead.

I bought my M5 for the B&O it was better than the Prem Audio in the E92 and I was very happy with it, but found no decreeable difference between it and the Bose in the GTR, and then again in the R8. I'm quiet turned off by anything B&O anymore, and am ecstatic both BMW and Mclaren are using them.

Very cool car. I think this is the sports car I desire the most right now. Or at least after the Porsche 918.
