1500 miles in the books. Did a few medium pulls from 60-130 and the car was spicy yet smooth through the gears. Very promising and I feel like it will stand up for many miles to come. Shoutout to TJ @ Pure Performance for a great build.

Update on the tune. Did not have good customer service vibes from HCP and DME. I’ll leave it at that. BPM does not really dwell in the custom tune world but at least gave me his time to talk. Heard some good stuff about UTKU and he’s been super responsive with providing insight. Will know more next week after I download BM3 and get some Dyno runs.

I’m curious to hear about your custom tune, your setup can now handle some very serious power levels
I’m also running a stage 2 tune to accommodate my current mods, also provided by my engine specialist!
And your engine oil choice is great, I will run Motul 300v Competition 5w50 after the break-in period.

My current mods are:
Sleeved engine block
Forged JE pistons, reduced compression
Forged FCP rods
Upgraded KING main and rod bearings
TTH950 turbos (basically Pure stage 2)
Downpipes with 200 cells (race)
F90 HPFP
NKG plugs (2 steps colder)
SSP Spec-R clutch (happy so far)
Infinity cf turbo inlets
Eventuri intake
Project Gamma charge coolers
Upgrade charge pipes
RK Autowerks billet diff mount
All wear parts replaced

After run-in, will extensively test stage 2 before going stage 4
How do King rod bearings differ from the standard BMW ones..

They offer increased wear resistance and are proven to withstand higher forces.
According to the King Bearing website, the following characteristics are included:

Construction

Bi-metal aluminum silicon alloy featuring fine micro-bore finish

Features

0.015" thick top layer for superior macro particle embedability and conformability
40 Vickers hardness to resist overlay migration and extrusion
450°F heat threshold for superior protection against friction and overheating
Mains are 3/4 grooved for improved oiling to the rod journals
