As of today, there are only a few 2014 m5 since 2015 are rolling in soon. So if you find the model and options you want. Your very lucky and if you do, your gonna get a good discount depending on the dealer.

At this point, what would be a good discount amount for a 2014 compared to a 2015? Wouldn't you want to buy a 2015 M5 instead of 2014 when you factor in a model year depreciation?

David Padalgaskas at BMW of Portland gave me a stunning deal. I just finished my european delivery on the 21st...

And Sal here has a very good point, you just gotta wait and see, building has stopped on 14's so it's up to whoever to see what kind of residuals 15's have..

Are you referring to a big difference in lease deals or the car itself? I'm debating between a 2015 ED with week of Sept 22 pickup or snagging a 2014 on the ground. Best deal on 2014 so far is $11,041 off $119,140 MSRP and the $2500 credit so $13,541 off. I think I can get better but it's pretty darn close, dollar for dollar, to making ED not worth it...except for the experience.

I am signing on a CP today. I got 13.5k off plus free ship both ways (550 to them), plus forgive the last 3 months of my 550, plus free tint and clearbra! Month end deals next few days on M5s will be the best you may ever see IMO.

Does the $13,500 off include $2500 build out credit or did you get that on top.

Not a lease deal but I almost pulled the trigger yesterday. I found the car I wanted and had all the options. The dealer seemed eager to make a deal and after checking the car out it hit me like a ton of bricks. As I'm walking to the sales office I turn around to catch another look and bam!!!...they installed a stupid front license plate holder. I was so stunned that I couldn't believe it.

I had them grab a screw driver and I took it off to find they tapped and drilled 4 holes in the front fascia of the body. Too me it's a dealer breaker as I feel like you just unnecessarily ruined the car. They offered to repair it and I was telling them it's not worth it. It's a brand new car and painting it seems ridiculous. As the Sales Manager was saying that he even stopped himself and said I wouldn't recommend it. Maybe I'm being over dramatic but the car looks flat out stupid with it on. Totally disappointed and it looks like I'm Euro Delivery bound...unless I find another 2014 at the same price and equipment or I buy my wife a ML63 AMG and take her X5M as my daily driver.

The one positive out of this is the dealer just changed their policy. No more front plate holders on M cars unless requested by the buyer.

Am I overreacting?

It is such a mental thing and I don't know if I can get past it. Like meeting a hot girl and then finding out one of your buddies already hit it. You are so excited and then disappointment. I know it's silly and I'm still in disbelief this or any dealer would do something so stupid. You can always put one on but once it's on you can't put the car back to the way it was without paint and body repair.

If I leased the car I would agree and it would be a non issue.

Roundtrip flight ticket from USA West Coast to Munich is around ~$1300. you could stay 2 nights and it would be under $2K to pick up and drop off. Factor in new model year and you are already ahead on a comparable 14.

This right here made me LOL at my desk! I love my friends, but I sure as hell don't want to go behind them. I think this situation is a little different, but ruined is definitely relative.

Right, the last thing you want to hear from your buddy is, "how did I taste?"... Of course I was being a tad dramatic with the analogy but ruined is a great adjective to describe it. Anyhow back on topic to potentially great deals on M5's...

Is there a dealer on the forums that everyone deals with? On several other forums I'm on there is usually a dealer who helps everyone out.
