Oral Pleasure

I am installing these on my X5M today. 3" exhaust cutouts, I had cutouts on my E60 and it was the best mod I ever did. I am planning on running a vacuum valve tied to the M button to open and close the cutouts just like the flapper actuates on the muffler.

I would agree with most that strait pipe is the ultimate exhaust mod, but I like being able to stick a sock in it's mouth when needed. Leaving the V10 and coming to the S63 has been a challenge as the beast feels cold and heartless. Let's hope some passion comes back into my life again.....I miss my V10 howl.

I will do a before and after video when they are installed later this afternoon.

This is only my opinion, but to do this to a nice ride like an X5M is kind of like putting Flowmasters on Lexus LS460, kind of rednecky. I may be wrong since I haven't heard it, but just seems like it'll cheapen a $100,000 ride.

I feel the same way about the F10 but having heard Dave's M with strait pipes it sounds amazing.

Right now the X sounds like a sewing machine. It's under the knife now so we will get some audio clips up soon.

Before just a boring old sewing machine.

The beast has a little snarl now.

Now you can hear the turbo sing. Next up down pipes and Activeautowerk's tune. 86RWHP smeared with 117ft lb of torque.

Sounds good! Possibly downpipes in the near future also? I had a buddy who had downpipes on his and man it really opened up the exhaust note! He has it paired with Eisenmann Race and damn that thing was loud!!! Not as loud as a de-cated and straight piped E60 M5, but near there lol.

You are right, trying to get my son to and camera to working together was a challenge. I will have to give it another go. The video does not do it justice, almost sounds the same. But not in person, it 70% louder and the burble/crack is awesome between shifts. Not to mention you can feel the car now.

Better Start up:

I will do a better job in the upcoming days. I can say this, I am smiling again with that BMW Grin.

Here is my plan, I will be ordering two of these:

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/3-Pne..._3836180&vd=30

And will just cut and T off of the vaccum lines that are tied to the existing exhaust flapper. I will post some pictures once it's installed.

LMAO!

I think you need some catless downpipes with your stock muffler to get the full effect you want. Or maybe even catted to avoid fumes and CELs.

I'd be tempted to get rid of my Turner Muffler delete for something like this with the stock rear section back in.
