Nice looking car.

Have you ever driven it hard where you had to brake a lot since you wrapped the calipers? Just wondering how the wrap handles the heat.

Hi Dave,

The wrap has held up fine, I drive, let's say 'enthusiastically' and have done a few European road trips, alpine passes and autobahn high speed runs, all of which require substantial braking and it's been no problem....

...However, I did a track day last year at Croft and the vinyl did suffer some discolouration from the heat.. no lifting or peeling, just some discolouration... which was easily rectified with half an hour in my workshop... the beauty of vinyl wrap... easily removable and rectified!

Yes, OEM CP springs from dealership, circa £350.. fitted perfect with no problems and really improves the stance of the car. It's also improved the handling without becoming too harsh... I've been in an M5 with H&R lowering springs which was notably more 'jittery'

Wow.. 800bhp is impressive.. yeah for sure keep in touch, I'm always up for a drive out to meet fellow enthusiasts!

Love the car , especially the wrap, looks spot on!

One question does the comfort access still work once the handles have been wrapped?? i was considering getting mine wrapped in a colour similar to yours but was worried about the comfort access not working.

Also think CP springs are the way to go..

The comfort access still works, absolutely no problems there... the thing to bear in mind is a premium quality wrap vinyl is typically around 90 microns in thickness... which is comparable to, and can be less than, a primer/paint/lacquer combination, so wrapping a part has no more detrimental effect on its operation than a resprayed version... same goes with parking sensors!

Looks great. Why did you decide on wrapping the BMW Individual paint? Was the black too high maintenance?
