Tyre Pressure Monitoring

OK My winter wheels and tyres on my LCI M5 are NOT fitted with the TPMS, they are STD valves.
What sort of Fault code (If any) will I get showing, or will the TPMS just be "Greyed out"?.

I suspect it will say system failure and be greyed out

one of my tpms sensors died and that's what happened

That would be ok as it's on the left hand side almost out of my eye line.

I would buy the TPMS valves but not sure they fit any wheels, I thought that the wheels had special cut-outs on them.

TPMS sensors aren't that expensive and provide valuable data. Why wouldn't you just spend the extra to have them fitted?

Waiting to get confirmation that they would fit the wheels!!
Still no reply from the manufacturer. If they can be fitted then I will go ahead.

Nope these will not work.

The BMW TPMS will work on any wheel that uses a standard style valve stem, 99.9% of cast wheel like the one pictured. Stick with OEM ***********************BMW_Mini_Rolls_R...7_p/s8081k.htm

Yes, the only time we see issues are with multi piece wheels where the valve hole is 8.5mm or if the valve hole is in the center of the barrel with a 90 degree stem.
