New F10 M5 illustrated. Said to share X5M/X6M's sharper looks.

This F10 M5 photoshop was posted by BMW insider Scott as he mentioned that the F10 M5 photoshops floating around have all relied too much on the M3's looks. Instead, it's suggested that we look to the X5M/X6M's "sharper" looks for the upcoming M5 and M1's design. We take this to mean that the M5's bumper will be more aggressive as in this image, rather than the M3-like bumper seen in most M5 photoshops.

The rear valence and diffuser on the new M5 is also said to be more sculptured than the M3-like bumper seen in M5 photoshops.

The M5 concept is expected to debut late 2010 / early 2011.

Upon inspection, the photoshopped bumper in the image above resembles that of the F10 M5 test mule we showcased previously (image below).

i hope the M5 looks much more fiercer then this render. Looks like the F10 with fender vents and body kit. it would be nice if it has a fierce hood like the m3

I'm sure it will. I just posted this photoshop to highlight the more aggressive front bumper styling compared to most of the renders we've seen.

I never understood why BMW always gives the M3 the widebody love, but never on the M5. I really hope this car gets flared fenders/quarters and an aggressive hood

if you're going to take the time to photoshop a new ///M car, spend the extra 10 minutes to make the door trim black!!!!

Interesting render. I am still not sold totally on the F10 exterior. I really want to see on in the flesh to finally judge.

How is the render more aggressive "edgy" than the ///M3? I must be missing something aside from the little aero wings on the bumper and the higher plastic b/c of pedestrian laws.

There's a bit of a disconnect here. I can't reconcile the statement above (which may be absolutely true) with the fact that the render cribs the M3 front bumper, the M3 18" OEM wheels, and the E90 M3's side gills. Quite the opposite, I thought that CAR Magazine's M5 render from last month featured the X5M/X6M's angular lines that the statement above refers to much more prominently than this one does.

I agree, that render is still a bit too curvy and too much a straight copy of the current M3. I'm looking forward to seeing someone render out a 'stiffer' more X5/6Mish render

Heres an attempt I just did, I tried to meld the E90M3esque bumper with sharper edges of the X5M. Hopefully someone can take this to the next level!

That first render is just the bottom half of the M3 bumper. Not sure what the horizontal splitter things in the air ducts are, or were as they were photoshopped out.

One of the recent car mags has a really good render. Very nice looking. I will def look like a e90 M3 but with the more upright kidneys.

i don't know why everyone thinks the front bumper on the m5 will be same as m3. I've only seen one picture where it is the same. ON all the other m5 test mules, the front bumper is different. Needless to say, I hope its not the same, that would be lame.

The test mules hood kinda looks like it has the power dome hood like the M3's hood... I hope they give the F10 M5 a more aggressive look. I really like the front headlights on the rendering... I really don't know why BMW won't give the M3 the updated facelift just like how the 2011 3 series has it.... the 2011 M3 would look more up to date with a new front LCI compared to the 3er... well guess that's not gonna happen so at least I hope the F10 M5 gets an aggressive look....
