The first pricing for the F10 M5 is in - for the UK. The 2012 M5 will be priced at £73,040 for UK buyers. At current conversion rates, this is approximately $118,306 US Dollars.

Keep in mind however that the new M5 will be priced lower in the US than the directly converted price. To give you a basis of comparison - the 2008 E60 M5 cost £65,890 in the UK, while costing $82,900 for the US.

The currency rates are different now from 2008, but if using the same UK-US price ratio difference (~25%) from the 2008 model just to give you an idea, the 2012 M5 would cost $91,895 in the US.

Here in Norway I fear we have to double that to get the new M5.

Unbelievable how much these cars go for in some of countries mentioned by you guys.

The tax is insane. I know that in Jordan they charge up to 150% of MSRP in customs fees. So the $250,000 would be about right there too.

Wow.

So only $3k less than a CLS63 AMG if the US conversion is accurate.

This needs to be under $90k in the US.

In Trinidad, this may cost around $2million TTD (about $190,000 USD)
The E60 was 1.8 Million TTD and there are a few roaming around

Prices in UK vs US (remember standard options are usually not the same)

M3 Saloon
UK: 53,125
US: 55,900 (5.2% more)

M3 Coupe
UK: 54,595
US: 58,900 (7.9% more)

X5M
UK: 80,795
US: 86,400 (6.9% more)

X6M
UK: 82,190
US: 89,500 (8.9% more)

so it looks like the hotter the model, the more upcharge the US gets (M3 Coupe higher than sedan, X6M higher than X5M

Based on this if the M5 is really 73,040 in the UK, it could be as low as $80,000 in the US, 8% would put it at $78,900! that would be amazing.

And why not, same engine as X5M but in a much smaller package, and in the UK its 7,000 less than the X5M.

I feel terrible for some of you guys. When I did ED some of the people I meet were suprised at the price we paid for the M3. Definately want to do that again. Might be 2013 before I can afford an M5 and still keep my e92 M3. Best of two worlds.

Damn. Thats borderline oppressive pricing for some of you guys. Why do you pay such a premium?

I hope the new m5 stays below that 100k mark..
