Sometime in the first half of August, certain selected users from the M-Power.com Closed Room will be chosen to be the first handful of people to drive the all new F10 M5.

No information as to the test drive locale yet, but be sure to register regardless, as you can always decline later (though you'd be crazy to )

In order to have the chance to be selected at all, you must be registered in the M-Power.com Closed Room, so be sure to sign up at http://www.m-power.com/_open/b/closedroom.jsp?lang=en

Why's that? The people haven't been selected yet.

I registered! I'd love to do this, especially since I've been such a diehard E60 M5 fan. I find it hard to believe that the F10 will be better, but I would love to be proven wrong. The F10 certainly looks the part, but will it drive the part?

FYI - looks like you need to "send in your dream" to be considered.

As one of the 12 people that went to Leipzig for the 1 series m coupe pre-drive, i strongly recommend entering. You never know, you could be a winner.

Tough call, especially when you consider that BMW have changed the steering from hydraulic to electric.
It'll be interesting to see what the motoring press has to say when they get behind the wheel.

Ah heck I signed up too. Although I kinda expect all our 'dreams' to sound alike - something to do with the autobahn, airport runway or alpine passes and in the company of some buxom scantily clad hottie etc etc etc

The F10 M5 has hydraulic steering, unlike the standard F10.

Brake callipers - Aluminium, front and rear
Brake-pad wear indicator
Compound disc brakes - front and rear, ventilated
Double-wishbone suspension, front
Electric Power Steering (EPS) with M Servotronic steering
Electro-mechanical parking brake
Integral rear axle
Variable Damper Control (VDC)
