This is how it is with every new M car. The new version isn't quite good enough, last one was more focused etc. Down the road, I am sure everyone will love this car.

unf-ing believable that you can read what we've posted and actually asking for: real tangible figures

it's not moaning, we're asking for car stats as compared to the competition and other cars in it's class

i don't care that it will be better than the e60, of course it will be. That's the point in car evolution. I'll probably even buy one when i'm done w/ my e60.

This. It was likely that most if not all early tests/reviews were going to be positive. What we want to know is how does this car compare to the others in the class. Despite the reviews, is the M5 the choice or is there another car in the class that would offer a better buy?

Like I said, I've driven it...just go to a dealership and ask to drive one, I've test driven the entire current range of AMGs and I do like them quite a lot, but in terms of how nice they are to drive through a nice road they aren't even comparable to a BMW.

In a straight line, though, they are completely awesome.

I agree. Unbelievable how people think a car should cone to market with race pads on it for the track. Quit whining and dial up hawk or performance friction! The car has to be made so it can stop in Alaska and stop in the desert. It's a four four sedan, not an M3 GTS.
