F10 M5 sound system upgrade - M5POST

Hey guys,
i am ordering the F10 M5 soon i hope. But i found that the professional hifi 16speakers quality is really lousy especially if you still in the rear . even with the surround box tick. It makes no difference. You cant hear much at the rear only the front is loud.

Anyone of you managed to get a upgrade option to pro logic 7 from factory?

According to my dealer they might not even have this upgrade

There were rumors that they might add a Bang & Olufsen option soon. but not sure about that

BMW high-end loudspeaker system, with Dolby Pro Logic signal processing, Surround mode, digital
amplifier with vehicle-specific DIRAC Live equalising, 600W amplifier power, multi-channel.

16 loudspeakers:
- one centre tweeter in the instrument panel
- one centre midrange speaker in the instrument panel
- two tweeters in the mirror triangles
- two midrange speakers in the front door trims
- two central bass speakers underneath front seats
- two tweeters in the rear door trims
- two midrange speakers in the rear door trims
- two tweeters in the rear parcel shelf
- two midrange speakers in the rear parcel shelf

I think that should do the job well enough.

I heard this is coming to UK spec for July / Aug delivery.

I'm going to get the same 16 speaker system you posted. Perosnally I can't wait til Aug just to get b&o. These high end brand systems don't really pay that much more dividends in such a small space as a car.

I intend to book july production if the B&O is in the option list.

bmw should have B&O system for m5 RIGHT NOW, not until the july production, The 6 seris is already have it. the original speaker on m5 is not so good, altho i have never use one before, but i think it use the same one with my 750i.
also, bmw shoud remove that STUPID STUPID full leather option, i mean come on we pay 130000 usd in canada to buy a m5 and we still have to pay another 10000 to just get a Leather dashboard? So cheap

The full merino in the UK is 8k so seems everyone is getting bent.

To be honest, the price in canada havn't posted yet, i was expecting it somewhere start at 110000 (mrsp). The 2010 model was 106000.
Plus you could also get some discount from the dealer, so 130000 in total is a reasonal number

Hi, guys!
About the full leather option I had an episode today regarding my car. I ordered it with Individual Full Leather option, almost 8k EUR in Portugal, and the car came with no leather on the dashboard! It has leather everywhere except the upper part of the dashboard and the doors. Stupid! BMW Portugal is actually trying to solve the situation with the factory, I'll keep you posted.
Apparently you can't get leather dashboard when you go for Individual leather, even if it is extended. Extended refers to the back of the seats, lower tunnel and lower dashboard. Be careful when ordering yours, I was lucky because it was my dealer who suggested it this way and therefore they are the ones responsibles.
