Yup, the M5 wasn't even accelerating. There is no such gap in acceleration among these top tiered cars. Looks more like a staged event all out for drama than anything.

My first race was the same result on a traffic light when he engaged his launch control. He went so much ahead that it was stupid.

the gtr is 0-62mph in 2.8s with launch control though - there is nothing road legal that can keep up with that as far as I know - maybe not even a veyron SS.

In my case he got such a big jump from a standstill that when we were at around 150 km/h I was still behind him, then we had to slow down due to traffic. But according to my own experience even tuned Evolutions X and tuned Imprezas get big jumps ahead of me from traffic lights. I never use launch control because of BMW's scary manual precautions (why even make it if so many warnings are written about component wear) and I never powerbrake for the same reason.

Speaking of the video, it's clear from the 90% video attention they put on GT-R shooting that it used launch control, but the M5 didn't seem to have used any launch control or even power braking. GT-R is much faster from a standstill and there's no argument, but M5 was driven embarrassingly bad imo.

haha i called u out bc if u don't like the dials on the gtr, then i'm sure u hav alot more complaints on it.
