New M5 Ring Taxi Opens for Rides
BIMMERPOST NEWSBMW M5 Ring Taxi Opens for Rides The M5 Ring Taxi is officially back! Rides began recently (from Easter on) so it can now be booked. See the announcement below, via M-Power.com For many, taking a trip in the BMW Ring-Taxi through the "Green Hell" is one of the most exciting experiences money can buy. This will certainly be true again in 2012: from Easter the brand new BMW M5 will be used as the Ring-Taxi. There is space for up to three people to take a seat in the 560 bhp sedan and be driven by a well-versed BMW Driving Experience Instructor around the Nürburgring Nordschleife. An extra dash of adrenaline is guaranteed. Reservations can be made online at a rate of EUR 216.- incl. VAT at http://www3.bmw-motorsport.com/ms_en...kets_and_dates . One important piece of advice: the trips are very much in demand. A ticket allocation is released for booking every Monday at 10 am CET. You have to be quick - experience shows that it only takes a few minutes for all the tickets to be gone until the following Monday. The F10 M5 Ring Taxi is driven by the instructors from the BMW Driving Experience Program as it has in past years (no Sabine, as she left the program prior to 2011). If I ever make it out over to the ring I'm definitely doing this. Was Sabine actually a better driver than the other ring taxi drivers or was she just so famous because she developed a cult following?

this thing handles on rails; even though suspension can use a little tweaking-to get rid of some of the body roll.
They are probably using some bad ass tires.

For the last two weeks, i have been trying to sign up for the ride, but it got full each time at the first few minutes of the booking opening hours...
 I am going to the Nurb the following week, i hope i will somehow get on the new M5 taxi...

Did this last week, three of us split the 216 Euro. Somehow how I was fortunate to be offered the front seat, after runs in my own tuned 550i around the track I was still overwhelmed by the lap we did in the ring taxi, incredible experience that I can only recommend fully.
