M6 steering wheel retrofit into F10 M5?

Is there any way to get M6 steering and shifters on an M5?

I am waiting for my dealer to give me the go-ahead for this retrofit.

I just saw the M6 convertible today at a preview event. The steering wheel is very nice and the paddle feel is great too! The M6 steering wheel looks to be between the M3 and M5 in size. The M5 should have came with that wheel from the factory...

What did you make of the M6 against the M5 in the flesh other than interior?

Dealers aren't very good at knowing whether nonfactory things can be done. Just wait to see someone here try it with their personal m5 first.

This would be expensive especially of your steering wheel was heated. Personally I hate the M6 steering wheel and vastly prefer the M5's -- but my favorite is my E92 M3's. Not biased or anything.

The Expensive bit is the airbag, as both use different ones.

There are some rumours that the new steering wheel may become a option or standard in the M5 soon.
The 3 Series M Sport model also gets a similar steering wheel to the M6

Big coupes are not my cup of tea. Big convertibles even more so. I went to the preview event for the sole purpose of checking out the steering wheel The car looks good, but way too big for my taste.

Hate the M6's steering and prefer the M5's steering? Why? Because it looks good??? The M5's steering wheel looks like my grandad's wheel.

I hear you, but something just looks weird about such a spartan and open wheel. I guess some could say that's part of the appeal, but it reminds me of much older BMWs. I guess I just prefer more meaty/substantial wheels. Something just looks awkward to me about the shape/size of the airbag area relative to the spokes that meet at it.

+1. Those M6 paddles are really nice to look at and pull!

The bottom of the M6 wheel looks like a vagina. I know BMW was trying to make the 6 appeal more to men, but I can do without the vag look when I'm driving.

You think THAT looks like a vagina? Then make sure not to sit behind a new CLS Class for very long; you'd think its tail lights were MODELED after one:
