US M5 Order Bank Open Yet? (Update: It's Open!) - M5POST

Has anyone confirmed yet whether their dealer has succesfully entered an order yet in the US?

Guys, just wanted to know, how you came to know that the order bank is open? There is no indication in BMWUSA.com about it. Did you contact your dealer?

From what I can tell, dealers still do not have their allocations.

The bank is open, but dealers don't have there allocations for some reason. My salesman told me not to worry saying they will get plenty of spots. Im gonna try and find out more information today.

My dealer said he expects 1 to show up in his system as configurable. Expecting that they will trickle in and not get 3 or 4 out of the gate. Maybe due to it being a small dealership (relatively).
Some lucky dude in Honolulu is celebrating....

So there seems to be conflicting info. Some orders placed. Really? If no allocations how is that possible? My dealer got my "order" the day the guide came out but I do not consider my M5 "ordered" yet, I wish. Help.......

I just got off the phone with my dealer and I know for a fact that the info they gave me is fact. They're my larget client and we support their entire technology environemnt. So... there has been one allocation so far and it was to a dealer in Hawaii. You can not enter an order in their system until they get their allocations, period! They are being told by the regional manager that allocations will be delivered any day now. That's it for now!

Dealer just confirmed the same. They said the 047's are the configs and priorities being loaded into their systems. As allocations come out to each dealer, the 047 will automatically be converted into orders in the priority they were placed at that dealer. The allocations going to each dealer will be from BMW.

I believe CA gets the first run...not positive. Once your order is placed it will remain in 047 status (order placed but not acknowledged) . 111 is the status which affirms a REAL ORDER.

I'm in CA but my dealer is in NY!!!
Cant deal with the crazies out here. One out of 4 M5's bought in CA, rest with the same dealer in NY.
I hopefully will be 111 tomorrow............

go find another dealer. i'm with my dealer for 9 years now(purchase 4 bmw's) if they do that to me, ba bye. will place an order this morning.
