Hi all, I was able to confirm yesterday with BMWNA at a BMW event yesterday that the 2013 M5 will indeed get the New iDrive Professional Navigation system (609)

Yep, and thanks. But needed to hear it from BMW NA in case there were any discrepancies between markets.

Well, at least we get one benefit for having to wait almost nine months longer than the rest of the World for our new M5s. Still disappointed that we will not get the new trick dashboard in the 2013.

Anyone (Jason?), have any idea when the new dash may make it into the M5?

I'm confused about this system...
Does this new system give you access to internet for free? Or do you have to purchase convenience plan to utilize most of the functions in this new navigation system? Also how much do you have to pay? Thanks in advance for your answers! |

Will this new 609 system on the 2013 M5 have BMW's Advance Real-Time Traffic Information (ARTTI) via INRIX as indicated in the Press Release of June 6? The press release mentioned the 2013 7Series, 550i Sedan/Gran Turismo and Active Hybrid 5 Sedans as having it as standard and as option on the 2013 528i/535i Sedans, 535i Gran Turismo and ActiveHybrid 3 but no mention of any M Series. Any info would be most welcomed.

I don't have an allocation yet and this may be incentive to want to wait. Next question will be how much (or will it be included in one of the packages)? (Just to be clear, I'm referring to the digital dash, not the nav system.)Last edited by AttyGunther; 06-10-2012 at 09:03 PM. |
