Will we need our cars for this? I will be in Munich, but will not have received my car yet. Assuming I can just show up carless?
Still haven't gotten the email. Is it an exclusive invitation or it is something that someone could email to me so I can send it back?

Here is the response I got from BMW

"...Unfortunately, the Engineers are not available to attend the BMW Welt deliveries. The only dates they could commit to us are these two event days."

I recommend we individually email BMW at BMWEuropeanDelivery@bmwna.com and see if they will move the event based on feedback from several of us.

Another email back from BMW. They cannot move the date due to the schedule of the engineers and the fact the studio is a working studio. I have asked if they could do a private tour on 8/31 of the studio.

I sent an email thanking them for this opportunity. I raised that we won't be in Munich and many of the other ED customers won't either. Then I requested if they could offer us a simple tour on the afternoon of 8/31 without any engineers, etc.

The lady from BMWNA European Delivery replied and said she forwarded my request for a simple tour of the M Studio (on 8/31pm) to Germany.

If we all make similar requests and she forwards them all, then we may be able to pull this off.

I just sent her an email telling her that I would be available for a simple tour in the evening on the 31st. She said, she will get back to me.

I still haven't got a response for the request for a basic tour of the M Studio on 8/31 pm after the munich factory tour.

I'm going to follow up. However in the meantime, I am thinking it may be worth getting a headcount if you want to do a M Studio tour on 8/31 late pm. Please PM me or email me if you are an ED M5 buyer and want to request a M Studio tour on 8/31. I will then use the headcount to send a follow up message to BMW.

Obviously if interest is limited then we won't waste their time.

So there are 8 of us who for certain want to request a tour of the M Studio on 8/31 after the factory tour.

What's the best way to communicate this to BMW? I see some options:
1) I can send them a follow-up email just explaining that I have 8 of the ED customers who would like to do this on 8/31 (16 people in total).
2) I can send them a list of names of customers who want to do this (in which case I would need your names via PM). I think this would be more effective anyway.
3) I can call the lady who sent the original invite.

My sense is we should do 1 or 2 + 3. Thoughts?

I did send an email. You can email me your details at batm75@gmail.com
so I can send a combined follow up message.

I think most of us sent requests individually. I have just sent them another email with a follow-up request in which I named 7 of the 9 of us in the email (I didn't have names for you and UCLA95), so she knows that this request is for a group of 9 plus guests (at least) and that we are all ED M5 customers.

I will follow up by phone.

I also emailed then back for a tour in the 31st, but I never got a response back.

Second piece of disappointing news today:

I spoke with Simone on the phone and she said that she made extensive efforts to get us a tour of the M Studio on 8/31 but the Germans are not able to accommodate us. They have other schedule commitments that day. Further she said she also explored the idea of an event with the engineers on 8/31 or 9/1 and she wasn't able to get that either.

She said they were sad that they were not able to do more for us but the schedule is too packed.

So the originally offered dates are the only options.

Too bad; but they did put together something nice on the 4th and 12th.
