Eisenmann F10 M5 exhaust coming soon.....

BMW’s F10 M5 is an absolute marvel of modern technology and an absolute pinnacle of modern machinery. The engine is optimized with BMW’s excellent VANOS system, individual valve control with Valvetronic technology, two turbo chargers, water cooled engine control computers, and blistering performance. However, some say a certain soul is lost as BMW M advances further toward the future. The raw sound and power of BMW’s earlier S38, S62, and S85 engines may be lost in the new S63tu- something even BMW admits to, and compensates for by adding an in-cabin sound generator to capture some of the engine’s lost personality.

Eisenmann’s engineers have had a passion for the soul and sound of M cars for over 20 years, and have now embarked on a quest to recover the S63tu’s lost soul. Eisenmann will continue to take their F10 M5 through their extensive testing and R&D program at their Stuttgart development center. Eisenmann will have invested over one half of a full year into development of the F10 M5 system, and will stop at nothing to bring the car’s true passion forth out of it’s quad exhaust tips.

Stay tuned for more updates!

Great news. We're going to see some monster numbers from modified f10 m5. Just look at the impressive figures from tuned x6m / x5m.

The exhaust seems to be one of the things people complain about when hearing the m5 videos so aftermarket exhausts will be popular I bet

That is the factory muffler. The photo is a stock F10 M5 getting ready for development at Eisenmann's facility in Stuttgart.

How are you going to deal with the MP3 playing a stock exhaust sound through the stereo speakers? I assume you'll find a way to turn this function off. When you do, a lot of people would be interested to know how.

Eisenmann is still in testing. They like to put a ton of miles on the car to hear the change in volume. They are also working on a few special tip styles.

There will be a way to remove it from the vehicle order.

What if you just purchase the exhaust and don't have it installed at your shop? You'll need to specify how to eliminate the active sound. Right?

Just pulling the fuse won't do it - that disconnects the amplifier. Certainly there should be some dedicated input to the amplifier that you can disconnect.

It wont invovle a fuse of any type. It isnt that simple. I suspect a hidden screen in the programming that you will need access too, then you will be able to turn that feature off.

Its a complete set of electronics tied to the M buttons so not a simple fix.

Any owners see anything like this to turn off the active sound feature in their idrive?

Can you elaborate? When we order our dealers will see an active sound delete option in the computer?

I picked up the Eisenmann Sport with 90mm tips 16 OCT 12. The sound is awesome!! Driving back through the Mecklenburg tunnel to Stuttgart, I was in heaven as the tone surrounded the car causing looks from unsuspecting drivers. I made a trip to BMW Welt in München; while in the parking garage I revved up the engine scaring a group of tourists, but the sound was incredible. Love the sound! ///MFlight
