Resonator Removal- anyone here done it?

As the title says... On my CLS63TT I removed the resonator and gained some great sound. It really opened up the car with alot more throatiness (word?).

I was wondering if anyone had done this with their F10 M5 and the results?

Here is my thread with a start up vid on the CLS. I have sourced a new F10 and figured I would need a new exhaust to get the sound I wanted. Fortunately with the CLS I didnt need to buy a new one but instead did the simple resonator removal:

The axle back will give you more sound... On a turbo car resonators give depth over turbo wash... I put on the Eisenmann front section which gets rid of the resonators and it made the cars tone change and the turbo come through a bit more.. I will try to get some footage up soon

Aloha

Thanks, I appreciate your input. I realize that the mid sections and axle backs will do that no doubt... I was just wondering how close a sound increase I could generate from this cheap mod much like I did on my CLSTT.

thats exactly what my friend has done with his cls63!
sounds INSANE!
this way u r getting same exhaust as eisenmann after-market would offer you for 5-6k?

i wanted to do that with m5, but didnt like the idea of cutting OEM

which exhausts u have on your current m5/m6?

M5 = Eisenmann Race axle back
M6 = Meisterschaft GT (race version) with LXR mid pipes

Not sure they have.

However I have Eisenmann mid pipes with Eisenmann Sport mufflers which is a proxy since the Eisenmann Sport uses OEM valve control to reduce low rpm noise (just like the OEM exhaust) but the mid pipes have no resonator and result in more throatiness.

The initial throttle response is more real whereas without the mid pipe it just sounds muted on initial response. On the whole it is a much more comprehensive sound than just adding the axleback. Makes the car sound racy but without drone.

It also seems you hear more of the turbo noise with the resonator deleted.

The M5/M6 does not have any secondary cats. There is two twin resonators in the center pipes.

Removing resonators will cause the exhaust to drone.

What exhaust did you have?
That is awesome because every f10 I have been in without the resonators had a drone.
