Unfortunately, the second you plug the phone into the usb port in the armrest it disables the bluetooth music ability and the only way to get it back every time is enable music streaming once it is unplugged. I've tried everything. BTW, I'm using an iphone 5 in 6.0.1. Kinda sucks! Hopefully this will be resolved with future software upgrades down the road.

Yeah I had the same problem, it's definitely annoying.. I ended up just getting one of those external chargers and avoiding the USB connection.

You can probably program one of the hot keys to toggle it. Otherwise you have to go through the menus and enable it each time. I'll check when I get back home from the Holidays

Any luck? Can you code it to stay active?

I take it this is the same for the 6-Series too? I too tried everything and couldn't get it to work again. UGH.

No luck, I tried saving it and it told me something like "this command can't be stored"

Yeah, this is pretty irritating for sure. I think it's to prevent owners from plugging a phone into USB, then accidentally still selecting to pull music from their device over Bluetooth Audio and wondering why certain USB-only features like library browsing still aren't available. But the best workaround is either to use a separate charger as another person mentioned, or map an iDrive shortcut as close as you can get to your phone's Bluetooth options, which will probably be the "Bluetooth (music)" option under Multimedia > External Devices. Then you just have to go into Bluetooth options, check the Audio checkbox again, and off you go.
