F10 M5 wheel size 19s or 20s for City-opinions wanted
I like the looks of the 20s. At the New York auto show, the first reaction of people generally was , "look at the rims." However, news york city driving is tough. Most suggest i get 20s with rim insurance. Im concerned with weight of car, i will blow rims left and right. The 19s dont look as good but they have a bigger sidewall. what do you think?

This is not an inexpensive car so you should option it as you think perfect, especially with something like wheels which you will have to look at every time you go to your car. Imagine if you get the 19's (which I actually like), every time you see an m5 with the 20's you will be jealous.
Sounds like you like the 20" wheels better so get those. Just be extra careful when driving and get the wheels/tires insurance. You decide on a color combo yet? Exciting to hear all the future US owners getting vocal now ahead of order submission opening next week. |

color
Im definitely going full sakhir orange. Ive narrowed it down to singapore gray and second space gray. my 07 m5 was silver gray and i liked it but did not love it. singapore grey seems to be a new m color thats not black and not a silvergray. what about you?

Negatory brosef. For expample, with my M3, every time I saw one on the 18s I was jealous, so I ditched the ugly and uncomfortable 19s. Its always a matter of personal preference, but I'll be more then happy with a set of 19s on this car with some proper meaty tires.

This is such a tough call for me as well. Not in love with the 20s or 19s. Going silverstone exterior and these pics are making me lean toward 19s.

I have been thinking about the 19's BUT they are going to be a bitch to clean. Worse than the 18s on M3's because it looks like they have a channel behind the spokes like the 19's on the 7 series. This might push me to the 20's. Plus this car is big enough to pull 20's off but I am sure the ride and performance is a bit better with the 19's.

Has anybody ridden in F10 M5s with both 19s and 20s so that a fair comparison of the ride quality and comfort could be made? The vast majority of U.S. owners are placing orders without a test drive of any kind so we could all use other forum members' experiences.
