Another Tire fitment question..Need advice from guys who already put AM wheels on
Hi guys, I am about to order wheels and they are recommending 11's in the rear. I have no aspirations of lowering the car. I really want to put the Michelin PSS on. My intuition tells me to go with a 305, but the PSS's are not available in that size.
So, of course I prefer to get a little more contact patch, but I think 315 will be too much. So I guess I'm gonna stay with 295's. Is anyone else running a 295 on 11's? Is anyone else running a 315 with 11's? Please help |

Do you mind a real slight, subtle, and almost stretched look? In all reality, it wouldn't even be considered "stretched" per say since it's within the manufacturer recommended range. The suggested rim width listed on Michelin's website for the 295 width tire (either 20 or 21" rim sizes) has a range from 10 to 11" so the 295 shouldn't be a problem. For the 315 tire width (in 20" rim size), the suggested rim width range is from 10.5" to 12.5". The 315 should have a more "fuller" look to it. Last edited by star21; 12-18-2012 at 11:11 PM. |
