I would say they are more on the white-ish side. They look more white in the daytime, and a bit more leaning towards blue during evening / night time. If you see the lights in the door handle, the ECS kit is probably along those lines. I'm pretty happy with the color.

http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-F10-M5-...ing/ES2576040/ I suggest getting the trim pry kit if you don't have one... it'll make it a lot easier to remove the different trim pieces. Either of these will work: http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-F10-M5-...Trim/ES517779/ or http://www.ecstuning.com/BMW-F10-M5-...rim/ES2500877/ Also have some type of clean cloth or dry wipe with you. I used the one that came with sunglasses to clean the lenses. It'll make it easy to handle the LED bulbs, and will keep you from burning your hands when you take out the bulbs that are on (e.g., when the door is open). |

Phenomenal price for the kit. 19 bulbs and it still costs less than BMW's 10 LED set.
Please post pictures once installed. Curious to see the color difference if any from BMW's kit. The door handle LED lamps are exactly the same color as the interior LED bulbs - something I wanted.

Here are some pics... sorry for the bad quality. I took them on my Blackberry phone camera. Not sure if you can tell but the light quality of the LED is pretty good... for me, it seems pretty close to the door handle lights. In the portrait scale pic of the car seat, you can also see the door puddle light on the bottom. |

I just did this install (of the set of 10). Took me 30 mins all up, including the two overhead consoles. What a difference this makes.
All I need to do now is order another set of 10 to fully LED her and I will be done. I don't think I am going to be able to put up with the non-LEDs much longer ....

Purchased from ecs. Good find! Looks like the best price so far. Not willing to risk Ebay quality, had plenty of bad experience. Will report when they get here, hopefully soon!

Ordered a set from ECS as well. Thanks for the guidance Poleposition and others.
Hoping they aren't a huge increase in brightness though.

I used a small notch-tip screwdriver on my Leatherman tool to slide the tip where the bulb base is, and then flick the base lightly to push it out of the base. The fittings around the bulb are fairly snug, but looks like they can take some abuse. Try this way... it was easy for me.

I just switched out my lights today. They look 100x better. They're definitely not a huge increase in brightness. They match the lighting on the door handles perfectly. I ended up with one extra led (ecs tuning) so my final count was 18.
