Just picked up my new BMW M5 F10 - M5POST

I just picked up my new space grey M5 from the dealership. Its my first experience with any M5 and let me say it's just an incredible daily driver BEAST. Before i went for the M5 i bought a white X6M and i drove it for 3 weeks (breaking in) and then nature wanted me to have the M5. The X6M hydro-locked in the most random way (BMW tend to be fairly easy to hydrolock) and i had the car declared total loss. The X6M was amazing for a car that size and weight. It was super smooth and it sounded OK. But for me the main difference with the M5 its not the DCT or the updated engine the difference is the RWD. In my opinion the car comes alive with RWD in the AWD x6M the feeling was super numb, well compared to my c6z06 it was. On the M5 the RWD gives you those scary moments that make a car special. I'll try to post more pics of the car when i get to my pc. For the moment ill try not to exceed the 5500 rpm limit >D.

Congrats - SpaceG was on 2nd choice, wonderful. I love my M5 such an amazing everyday car. One moment you could be sitting traffic, checking email, getting a massage, and being guided by NAV HUD display; the next moment you could be ripping it up the twisty with music blaring and the rev limiter displayed in the HUD. Amazing package by BMW.

Totally. I spent yesterday with all settings maxed out around town. Reminded me just how ferocious this thing can be. Easy to forget when in comfort settings - which is EXACTLY the point!

...and congrats on the Space Grey. A rather rare color on the M5
