Service Loaner - Oh yes...

So, M5 is in for the 1200 mile service. Dealer has an on-site Enterprise office to handle loaners. The guy at the counter chuckled and said he was sorry but he only had one car left. Rocking this for the day

Should've seen my wife's face when I came home for lunch. Funny part is, when I'm driving the M5 I always get thumbs up from guys who like the car. Driving this, I'm still getting thumbs from guys, it's just a different set of guys...haha

Figured you guys would enjoy, at least they're giving me a loaner for the day...

On a different note, I finally got around to installing my performance grills and painted reflectors. Really happy with the look.

hahaha. that's cute. I kinda want to drive one.

My dealer told me they have an account with Enterprise as well for loaners. Maybe I'll get lucky and get a Fiat on Saturday when I take the car in for break in service

Haha, that was my wife's reaction as well. She wanted to take it for a spin down the road because she thought it was cute. Bahaha.

... if no other choices available, I would have walked around the neighborhood or to the coffee shop and wait til the car is ready. It's supposed to be just 3 hrs of servicing anyway.

I actually didn't really care, had to get back to work which is only a few miles down the road, so it was fine for that purpose, actually sort of funny. Problem is, I got a call a few hours ago that the specific Tech I had requested ran in to some unexpected issues on the car ahead of mine, and that he wouldn't be able to get to my car until the morning. Since I went to this place specifically to have this Tech do the service, not much I can do about it. Took the Fiat POS back and they gave me a Ford Focus POS. Blah.... At least the carseat fits in the back if I have to use it tonight.

Those fiats are cool, I often think I'd like the abarth version as a tender for my car!

I had an E30 loaner from an independent service co for one of my previous cars, and it had about 200,000km on the clock, but it was the business for ripping though traffic I loved it!

Remember the movie, Get Shorty? - "if you are really cool, people will wait!"

cheers

And I complain when I get a 128/328 loaner from my dealer. Need to keep things in perspective!

I wish my dealer(the one I don't go visit anymore) gave me one of this instead of a vw JETTA base with check engine lights on even before handing it to me.
