I just came in my pants. And my labrador puppy sitting next to me, was freaked out, scared and baffled.

Dudes,
I've been getting a lot of inquiries on how and where to get the new RPi GTM exhaust. I'll just put it out publicly, that RPi does not currently have these in production. This system was a 1 of 1 special customer order that I requested as an experiment. If you want to have a deleted muffler system like I do, then you can go over to Bimmerzone.com and they have the Hartge deleted muffler section 3's ready to go right now. If you want RPi to build you one like they did for me, then like I posted in the other post contact Race Precision and let them know you are interested. If there is enough interest, they will do a group buy. It will probably take between 5 and 9 weeks to get them built though. I don't work for RPi or Bimmerzone.com, I'm just trying to help people out and share with the community. Thanks and have a rad day! ![]()

SMG is the best (most fun) transmission there is. DCT is quicker but 100 times more boring. Especially the DCT in the E9x M3s is terribly boring imo. The new Porsche DCT is kind of ok but nothing compares to the emotions when driving a true race car like single clutch transmission like the SMG. I miss my E60 M5 mostly for that reason... besides the V10 of course. The new F10 M5 lacks so many emotions. It's getting more and more like and AMG and AMG is getting more and more like M used to be. They have never been so similar I think.

that seems to be how most F10 M5 owners describe it to me.

very nice review! so from what i gather, and have concluded from other sources, is that the f10 is just an all around better car. the e60 cons outweigh its pros and the f10 pros outweigh its cons. i love the e60 m5 but honestly the only thing that ever saved it was that v10...without that no one would be complaining about its departure

The smg makes things feel so much more connected! I love full throttle 8250 redline shifts! Nothing feels juss as good and its a great experience.. Lexus lfa and the aventador use smg like trannys aswell. Its not always about speed, its the experience of feel, pull noise combined. The V10 engine sound and smg tranny and high redline experience is hard to replace.
Also disagree on the op's handling comparison, i felt that my e60 was more nimble and felt better through corners. The f10 you can feel that weight transfer! My Cousin owns a f10 m5, its large, heavy and pretty mute, everything juss feels so default like.. |

thanks for sharing your review Dave. we could definitely relate, especially to the 6mpg when Joe had his E60, but not just once lol. and the exhaust note just kept us coming back for more. personally the F10 is still growing on me. its getting there though.
