Back into a BMW... Picked Up My New Silverstone!

Been a huge BMW fan ever since I got into an X5. Shortly after I was lucky enough to get into an E90 M3... a year later having to sell both to get a silly work truck and tax credit I longed to get back into a BMW.

Glad to say today I now have my work truck accompanied by a classy lady.

I love the M5. Have all but 42 miles on it but it is an incredible car.

My only concern is the color. My previous BMW's have been Space Grey and I really liked the Silverstone and wanted something different and unique but man sometimes it is has so much baby blue hue in it that my wife give's me a hard time. I still love it. Thanks to all for such great info on these forums.

Attached a couple pics of the Ford chasing the lady.

You can make the car more aggressive with black accents Personally I prefer color matching to tone down the Bling and up the classy.
Get color matched Grilles,Gills,F&R reflectors and tint to clean up and highlight body lines. Maybe Some carbon fiber to bring out the performance look Spoiler,Front lip,Rear diffuser.. I like the Blue hue.. Rock IT!!

Some nice wheels+lowering and your wife will never say its girly...
Just beautiful!!!

Aloha

Whoa, that color's waaaaay to feminine for my taste, but hey, whatever floats your boat.

Haha just kidding. I think its a great color choice on the new M5.

Silverstone really grew on me. It's a very unique color. It screams class. you have a great combo with the truck and the M5. I would love to have a Ford Raptor and a M5 :-)

Congrats, my E90 M3 is Silverstone and when I see F10's in it I think I should have got another one!

Wishing you many happy and enjoyable miles.

Congrats! I love the silverstone colour too. If I did get the chance to order mine, it'd be silverstone I like.

Chrisratz,

Man you made my heart sink as I read "too feminine!"

Thanks for all the comments guys... I am very happy with the color as it is so unique. I will definitely be exploring IND reflectors, inserts etc... I agree how the black details would make it more aggressive while color match would be nice as well. Tinted windows is a must and will help out big time. Decisions decisions.

In regards to a Ford Raptor and M5 I opted for the Power-stroke diesel... I needed one car that was economical on fuel... LOL!

As the first silverstone f10 m5 owner in North America I approve of this thread!

Now you need to catch up on mileage... at 12k the car is even faster

Congrats!!!!

Believe it or not I actually made a couple batches at my works lab. Too big a hassle getting the used grease from the local grill joints.

Plus all the operators at the local oil leases where I work got ticked off cause they started craving French fries every time I was onsite. 😁

Funny you mention your wife's comments, mine still has the exact same feelings - she keeps reminding me that my car is blue! LOL. I actually think SS really stands out get tons of people asking me about it. However if I were to do it again I would have gone with my 1st choice of frozen silver and full cohiba interior - I just couldn't justify the extra $11k at the time. The SS interior is amazing but shows everything!

I'm usually not a fan of silver cars, but the light blue hues in it make me love Silverstone.

Silverstone is awesome. Congrats. Is it me or did silverstone look slightly different on the E60?
