Race results between Hartge F10 M5 vs. Vanquish and PP-Performance M6 Coupe

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Dudes,

Just found this on YouTube. The F10 M5 in the video is apparantly a Hartge Stage 2. It looks like the M5 has slowed down considerably at the end of the race. At one point it passes the Vanquish, but then it shows the Vanquish overtaking it again. So weird.

Anyways, we need something to kill that 700hp GTR though. Anybody got any ideas??

Admin Edit: Added Hartge Stage 2 M5 (650 HP) vs. PP-Performance M6 (680 HP).

Also here is your random bonus video of the day.

I'll take the blonde and the GTR. That is the best color on the Nissan GTR I have ever seen. SO COOL! Also, that is the best color dress on that Blonde I have ever seen! SO COOL!

I saw this video the other day. As you can see by the performance measurements at the end of the run, the Hartge M5 starts off okay (nothing earth shattering) by running a 12.062 @ 193.02 km/h (119.9 mph) 1/4 mile time. However, its terminal velocity at the mile mark was only 89.35 km/h (55.5 mph). I would suspect that the Hartge M5 went into limp mode during the run.

That's what I was thinking too. It shoulda stayed ahead of the Vanquish.

I was about to make the thread title: "And this is why I bought an F10 M5!" but then I saw the results at the end, and I was like, "DOH!"

It might have hit the 250km/h limiter as well... Someone has mentioned that the Hartge piggyback tune has caused some "issues" with BMW software. Apparently the ECU is clever enough to understand when it's input signals have been manipulated (prob. because it detects a strange situation occurring with sensor input signals not matching up with each other). Not sure if this is true or not, just a rumour...

The MHR M6 beat the 458 Italia at the GT Board meet earlier this year.

This 458 just gets beaten with 4/10ths by the GTR AMS stage I (600hp) here:

So, I guess the MHR cars are closest at the moment

Garage List
2013 BMW M5  [0.00]
I ran the half mile race in chicago a couple weeks ago and my results extrapolated to a mile race would have beat the vanquish with topping out at 155 mph. During the half mile race I'd consistently finish under 19 seconds at 148mph at the low end of 5th gear. Add 11.5 - 12 seconds to finish the second 1/2 mile if the m5 was limited at 155mph and the car should have well under 31 seconds.

The GT-R's famous launch is so difficult to overcome. You need some Aventador, Veyron or 911 Turbo S. Othet than those cars and the GT-R just checks out.

Garage List
Something is wrong with M5 runs
Trap speed at 1mile mark is low
Also, when it ran M6, it showed much better time

I think the m5 is just aiming for the quarter mile, then slowing down after that.

Is that GT-R driver serious? He thought he would just safely bypass the traffic jam by going directly into oncoming traffic? He's lucky he wasn't going faster and no one got seriously hurt.

It's something about former soviet countries and money. Having visited several times it's astonishing to watch how people with nice cars drive over sidewalks and almost people. On small Kyiv roads they will hit 60 mph+ and not care a lick. Having said that Many of those countries feel more free than we do here stateside. You may need to give a policemen their a 25.00 bribe but you don't worry about a swat/pseudo SS dynamic entry where they kill you and your dog first and ask questions later.

So you saw that video of that guy in LA too huh? Poor guy and poor dog. Can there be freedom without law enforcement? Who knows.

I saw the vid with the guy and the dog in LA. Sucks about the dog but the owner was instigating. The dog was a good boy who just didn't understand the situation. Wasn't even malicious, just wanted it's owner free. Sucks bad to watch that. On a lighter note the PP performance tune seemed solid.

Visiting said country and growing up/living there are 2 different things. Trust me when i say very softly that you have no CLUE. The guy with the dog case stateside is very sad but come talk to me when there is no rule of law, family member house burned down, tortured/killed and assaulted for political reasons. This is not one case or 2 or 3.. multiple cases.

You have no idea what you say. Bribes get annoying when it never stops everywhere you go. I'm glad im stateside. You have no IDEA what you are asking for and i mean that nicely and ill leave it at that.

back on topic:
What is wrong with the tuned M5 or M6 barely cracking 12sec 1/4 mile. Seems 0-60 is s**t and you see only improvement up top? Very weird videos.

Did you guys see how easily the L front wheel assembly got ripped out of that Lexus from a relatively low speed crash? Think I'll keep the wife in her MB GL!!

I would like to see the M6 stock vs that Aston
Tuned vs Stock is just for fun, but it's not necessary to have a sense due to various stages that a car can achieve...
