If anything, would be more logical for haters of special editions to actually be happy that BMW is making such abnormal profits to reinvest them in the already beloved FI I-6 turbocharged M3 that will replace it.

We aren't haters, we just disagree that BMW is correlating paint with PERFORMANCE.
Also you are assuming they are reinvesting profits for this M marketing on the new M3-6. I would say someone is investing in their pockets
