For the other smaller things. Yeah maybe doesn't make any sense that the M5 doesn't get a digital compass in the rear view like a 328i does. Other things like ceramics control knobs would've been nice though. Others wished for AWD or more horsepower.
There's really nothing more that I wished a 2015 M5 could have. The 30 Year M5 is pretty much the best car on the planet right now.
New technology like more carbon fiber isn't quite ready for a true Sports Sedan yet. It's getting there though, the new 2016 CTS-V has an optional carbon fiber hood for example.
But if I'm being truly truly honest the only thing I could have wished for, for the F10 M5 was a high revving naturally aspirated V12 engine like the one used in the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta. 725hp? Yeah I'd take that over 502 low end torque. I think an exotic V12 would have increased the M5's popularity 10 fold if one had been used, but you know stupid CAFE and all.

Yes! That non-existent compass bothers me so much. There's no indication of any compass anywhere, not even in idrive nav or anything. It's so strange. Do the non-M 5 series have it? What would make them take it out, doesn't make much sense, it's essentially the same mirror with lane departure camera if you have the option.
If they put a V12 in this car....it would be unreal, but the direction BMW is headed now, doesn't see much light in that

and if they did somehow mass produce the high-end M's with V12s and managed to keep it in the current price range, they would sell like hotcakes no doubt.
