Any speed under 20mph you can usually get taken care of and dismissed easily with a small court cost and defensive driving class ( less then $100).
It's been a many many years since I have been pulled over and ticketed though.

A lot of people I know charged with reckless that hired lawyer made out like bandits, 100 donation...not a fine but you did mostly pay 1500 for the lawyer.
No points in CT as far as I know you can get all the tickets you want but will have a take driver retaining. I have 5 in a stretch of 3 years this was 10 years ago) I still had my license no hearing or letter.
I do and do not like the Swiss system. on one hand we know the American system favors the rich and wealthy.....you throw enough money at it and the charges have a likely chance they will go away... in the swiss system a fine based on wealth can equal out the playing field example $500 fine does not hurt a individual making 400k but it will hurt the guy making 40K.
But lets be honest the people making the rules make the 400k +++ so NO WAY would that ever pass in the US even Liberal Cali could not get that on the books
