its a simple scratch, wheel becomes unbalanced, if you leave it as is, so you wether go and check wheel balance or refurb it and balance it afterwards

As I said each to their own, you do it your way, fine by me, don't have any issues with it. But don't expect everyone to do as you do just to save a few quid!
