I would agree that 4/32 is about the right depth to order new tyres....you could push it another 1/32 but you'll notice diminished grip and you do run more risk of aquaplaning so why would you?
High performance car tyres do need a little extra care and attention and this is one place it usually goes....that and premium brand tyres
