Like I said , this seems to be a common problem now around this mileage (70k) .

I decided to send car over to Troy Jeup up in Michigan to do a complete rebuild .... Spoke to him and gave me an estimate for a bulletproof engine with 700hp /700tq ... I could have done it cheaper but I think he is the right guy ...

If it was the oil pump at least it should have given me a sign or a sensor should have came up ... not a single thing on the dashboard ...

I wasn't aware that also M5 had rod bearing issues ... we also have in the house a 2008 M3 e93 w 75k miles on it and runs great ... will do oil analysis soon ....
