Car had the Gear Rod 5-7 issue for about another week, and then out of nowhere stopped having issues. I've had about 1500 miles on the car since the update and haven't had any issues yet. Crossing fingers that this problem stays away from my car. My transmission has about 35,000 miles on it.

This happens when you redline 4th gear, not normal driving. Best to try that a few times in S3 mode and see if it is truly gone... often a re-adaptation masks the issue for a while.
