That 4th spot is up for grabs. I think committee feels obligated to give FSU 4th spot if they win ACC champ game. If FSU loses, Texas will get in with a Big12 champ win.
Bama wins SEC champ and then we have real chaos.

Ultimate chaos would be losses by UGA, Michigan, Washington and FSU, leaving no undefeated teams. I don’t see that happening, and any undefeated P5 team will be in, but finishing with 8 one-loss teams would be wild. I think it would be Bama, Texas (since they beat Bama) and Oregon with 5 one-loss non-conf champs fighting over the last spot. Ohio State and FSU probably have no chance in this scenario. My bet would be UGA over Michigan and Washington for the last spot.
