Lots of people just look at the horsepower numbers. And it works if you look at sales numbers.

ev's as well as stoplight drag racing are to blame for this... the inevitable youtube races that would have taken place as a result of evs walking supposed M derived motorsports cars would have been a real bad look...

instead bmw just went the way of everyone... let's add as much power as possible and fix all traction and stability issues w weight and awd... i always laughed that if you go back 10 years ago bmw was the only one left w an original car... RWD + DCT... this was for both m3 and m5... when audi and benz already had awd auto versions... i applauded bmw for sticking more to their ethos and then i said... next gen this is all gone and i can give you 20 reasons why... i also said... everyone will make the same car lol... i was right
