this has nothing to do with cell phone tech development which renders old phones useless on our networks, outside of any internet usability, security etc... your comparos are not like and make 0 sense at all
I’m sorry it seems that you’re not getting what I’m saying. All of your points are completely valid, but know they are your individual points of view. Your original statement which I tried to convey was that, why people buy into all of the “useless” things added which resulted in weight increase to new models; why does bmw make all these none sense changes, and why do people still buy them rather than finding a used basic functional and performance comparable model as their preference when it comes to car buying. I believe that’s the fact you couldn’t understand, correct me if I understood it wrong.

So my point to explain was trying to make you understand, although you make completely valid points on your preference, you do not represent the vast majority and their desire for what they’d want in new cars. And if those new features are desired by the vast majority of the market, those aligned changes will be incorporated in the new cars and that higher price tags can be applied whether you like it or not, whether you think they add any value or not. The proven fact is new models supply are not able to suffice demand. And from a foundational perspective, change is the key element that evolves the environment of world we live in.
