Non-expert solution
A solution that requires no fancy illustrations or expert opinions...
This is the version that applies to all cars, all makes, all models, brand new, pre-owned, dealer maintained, and self-maintained... as follows:
1. Remove the filters
2. Switch on the AC blower
3. Stick your hand into the filter housing
4. Feel the air and which direction it is blowing
5. Align the air flow arrows on your filter in the same direction, and
6. Insert the filters and close the housing!
