It was reasonably smooth in my '17 F80. I now realize that some qualities I chalked up to the DCT were probably the grabby F80 brakes, but my main "jerky" comment was that really odd clunk almost every F8X I've been in has between 1st and 2nd, or from 2nd down to 1st, at every stoplight, or in traffic. I always wrote it off due to 'race car', but my wife wasn't a fan. Other than that, the DCT could be buttery smooth during normal driving.
