At a certain TQ level, the stock clutches begin to slip. They simply can't clamp w/ enough force/friction to put the power to the rear axle consistently. Most folks agree that around 650 lbft wtq and beyond is where you're pushing the limits.
Problem is, these motors are capable of 700+ wtq. In fact, the turbos can easily flow enough air (fueling might become an issue) and make enough power to bend rods or shoot one out the side of the block.
