I replaced coils on my car
Did same as above couple of plugs not in as i didnt realise the locking tabs lock even if plug isnt inserted all the way
Got a heap of errors, unplugged batt and re plugged them in, car ran fan for 5-10km then went into limp mode
Trip to dealer and 3 weeks later and about $5000us they replaced 1 dme as the valvetronic output failed in the dme!
Apparently happens a bit in older bmws but never heard of it happening on this ecu
I dont think it happened from me not plugging it back in as car didnt fire but it concerns me
That and the fact my ecus had been in and put a few times for plugs and tunes
