I think the battery problem is a secondary one and I know it is an expensive item but a consumable. I think the door handle problem has shortened the life of the battery but I don't expect the warranty to cover the cost of the battery. I do expect them to cover the cost of the handle and I will be pushing my service agent to argue my case.
