Uses wifi from my phone, I have audio output thru the AUX cable right now coz I cant get it to pair Bluetooth at the moment.
I have a wemo maker so I can open and close the garage door. I will likely still use the button to open/close the garage door but I do get a text if leave the garage door open so I can close it via voice command if I do. (It is set up with geo fence location - so when my phone is out more than 1 mile and my garage is open it sends me a text)
If you do this I highly recommend not pairing the Echo Dot to your home WiFi when you first set it up - connect the internet thru your phone only. I'll update with more info if there's any interest.
