what product to remove tar (or other difficult to remove gunk)
Heyo,
washed my cash yesterday and noticed what looked like me missing some (light grey) dirty wheel spray on the lower fender. Turns out I didn't miss anything, as after two additional applications of wash and rinse it's (mostly?) still there. Only thing I can think of is me driving on a road that looked like it had been chipsealed a few weeks ago and perhaps the front wheels kicked up dust with some residual seal/tar/whatever that then stuck. or it's something else, but either way it's not easily coming off.
I've seen recommendations of lighter fluid, wd-40, isopropyl alcohol, etc. but am unsure what is the best product to remove it w/o damaging the paint. there isn't a lot of it and it's pretty light, but it's definitely there. Thoughts?
