Regarding fuel costs, you have to look at the overall cost of ownership and just not the price you pay for fuel. Until EVs get into the $35K price range (as an upper price) they economically don't make sense if purchased. Leasing is a different equation. I drive 800/week. Trust me, I've run the numbers every which way including Sunday.

I just am having a hard time getting over the TV screen. I've seen it live in action, and I just didn't get the wood for it. The map size is great, but the screen is just too big IMO. But every car has compromises. My real issue with it is out in the woods where I live, you need very dim dash lighting so as to be able to pick up the critters that roam freely in the headlights at night. My friend who owns the 3 I was in is going to see how low the screen dims and report back. Living in the burbs, he really never knew dash lighting to be an issue.
They don’t necessarily need to be 35k to make economical sense. Depends on someone’s wants/needs. What’s great about the performance version is that you can get m3 like performance (actually faster for any daily driving) and still have that gas savings. At night it’s not as much the dimming, but the inversion of colors. Background turns black instead of white. Don’t think you would have an issue spotting critters.

Some lowering springs and set of rims...gives it a sportier look as well.
